Application
- Must be at least 18 years old to be accepted.
- Applying online is free and without commitment.
- Applying online will give the most current availability in order of the indicated housing preference(s).
- Availability and corresponding property information will be sent, along with a $400 security deposit invoice. The invoice is payable ONLY if you wish to secure the reservation.
- Applications are generally processed within 24-72 hours.
- Personal information is kept confidential and is for the sole purpose and use of our office only.
Security Deposit and Cancellation
- A $400 security deposit is required to reserve your spot. Reservation may be secured immediately by submitting payment of the invoice via PayPal, however a 3% PayPal processing fee will apply ($12.00). To avoid this fee, you may send a personal check to: Capitol Management 1629 K Street, Suite #300 Washington, DC 20006.
- Reservations are made on a first come, first serve basis according to receipt of paid security deposit. Delay in submission of security deposit could alter our availability and result in loss of your assigned space. Notification will be sent and deposit returned if placement is no longer available.
- Security deposits are fully refundable within 45 days of the posted session end date. ALL security deposits will be returned via PayPal. A free PayPal account IS REQUIRED to receive return of your deposit.
- Cancellations by written email notice must be received by The Capitol Management no later than 30 days prior to the posted session start date (not arrival date) to receive refund.
Housing Set-up
- All Capitol Management housing consists of a shared living environment.
- Luxury condos are units with varying 2-3 bedroom layouts. Each unit consists of 2 full baths (some with additional ½ bath) and will accommodate 6-7 same gender residents.
- Row homes consist of larger 4-10 bedroom, 4-10 bath residences. Each home is co-ed with genders separated according to floors; and will accommodate 7-17 residents.
- Occupancy (Single, Double, Triple, Quad) is based on the number of people per bedroom. For further clarification:
- SINGLE – One twin size bed (one occupant) in a private bedroom or converted den; with or without a window.
- DOUBLE – Two twin size beds (two occupants) in a bedroom or converted den; with or without a window.
- TRIPLE – Three twin size beds (three occupants) in a bedroom.
- QUAD – Four twin size beds (four occupants) in a bedroom.
- Each Capitol Management tenant will receive:
- Standard Twin Size Bed (must provide own linens)
- 5 Drawer Dresser
- Jumbo Under Bed Storage Drawer
- Share of Closet Space
- Shared Use of Common Spaces (living, dining, kitchen areas)
- Shared Use of Bath (with no more than 3 other tenants).
Housing Fees
- Housing fees are a flat rate, per person, per session (for the entire duration of stay). Rates for all Capitol Management properties include:
- All Utilities (Water, Electric, Refuse Removal)
- Wireless Internet
- Premium Digital Cable
- Free In-Home Washer and Dryer
- Fully Furnished Accommodations (each tenant is responsible for any items not specifically indicated)
- Maintenance Costs
- Taxes
- An amenities fee is included with the luxury condominium ONLY (not available with historic row homes). Amenities include:
- 24-hour Concierge
- Electronically Controlled Building Access
- Rooftop Pool (open Memorial Day – Labor Day), Sundeck Lounge, and Barbecue
- Fitness Center
- Business Center
- Media Room
- Club Room and Lounge
- Free Wireless Internet (all common areas, including rooftop)
- On-site Maintenance
- Dry Cleaning Service
- Package acceptance
- Capitol Management does NOT prorate for shorter stays. However, dependent upon availability, we may be able to adjust dates to encompass work study time frame.
- Early arrivals or extended stays may be purchased at an additional weekly rate and are subject to availability.
Parking
- The Capitol Management does not encourage the use of personal vehicles.
- Private, reserved parking is available at the luxury condos only. Permits are $200 a month, minimum 4 month commitment, payable in full ($899) on/by the date of arrival.
- Historic row homes have on-street or metered parking available, but may be extremely difficult to find.
Check-In Hours
- Notification MUST be sent to ezej42@yahoo.com as to your arrival date and selected check-in time. Plan to arrive at these scheduled times to meet your Capitol Management Intern Coordinator, sign paperwork, make payment, and receive keys.
- If you arrive outside of our posted hours, you may be required to do a self check-in. However, we MUST be notified so as to make arrangements on your behalf. Self check-ins will not be permitted before 9am or after 9pm.
Payment Due
- Housing fees are due in full on or before check-in date. Typically, payments are received by personal check at time of check-in.
- Split Payment Option will permit 50% of housing fees to be paid on or before check-in, with the remaining 50% due within 30 days. A $100 fee for this option will apply and is payable with first installment. Notify the Capitol Management Intern Coordinator at time of check-in.

Methods of Payment
- PERSONAL CHECK OR OTHER CERTIFIED FUNDS.
- All funds are payable to “Capitol Management” and must be received on or before check-in.
- Payments may be given directly to Capitol Management Intern Housing Coordinator at time of check-in.
- Payments may be sent via the United States Postal Service to: Capitol Management 1629 K Street, Suite #300 Washington, DC 20006
- CREDIT CARD.
- The Capitol Management accepts online credit card payment (prior to check-in) via PayPal, upon request of an electronic invoice from ezej42@yahoo.com.
- Capitol Management Intern Housing Coordinator will also accept credit card payment at check-in.
- Be advised that PayPal and credit card processing will require a 3% processing fee. To avoid this fee, refer to above method of payments.
- BANK TRANSFER.
- International students may prefer to conduct a bank transfer. Please submit a request to ezej42@yahoo.com for more information.
Tours
All tours MUST be guided by a Capitol Management Intern Housing Coordinator. We may be able to give tours of the luxury complex on short notice. However, to view the inside of a luxury unit or house, we must give our tenants at least 48 hours advance notice. Please email ezej42@yahoo.com for more information on scheduling a tour.
